Jamie Barber
Nurse Practitioner
Jamie is an experienced Mental Health and Addictions Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of nursing experience. He has held senior nursing roles within Queensland Health and brings broad clinical experience across Emergency Departments, community mental health, inpatient services, and forensic mental health settings.
Alongside his clinical work, Jamie has been involved in teaching at Griffith University and the University of Southern Queensland, supporting the education and development of future health professionals.
Jamie is a holistic and compassionate practitioner who values building strong therapeutic relationships with the people he works with. He takes a collaborative, person-centred approach to care and is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered in their recovery.
When he’s not working, Jamie enjoys spending time with his family and getting out on the trails mountain biking.
